Broccoli paneer paratha is a simple and easy to make recipe that is perfect for a breakfast or for kids lunch box.
Broccoli has many health benefits including cancer prevention, cholesterol control and it is also a very powerful antioxidant. Including broccoli in our diet in any form is highly recommended. Whenever you find that fresh broccoli is in the season you must try this recipe, it is wholesome, packed with nutrition and is delicious too.
Ingredients-
For stuffing:
- 1 small cup grated Broccoli (blanched)
- 50 gm Paneer
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 finely chopped Onion
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped (optional)
- Fresh Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
For Dough:
- ½ cup Wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- Water for kneading
Procedure-
1. In a bowl, combine grated broccoli, crumbled paneer, chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, cumin seeds, and salt to prepare the stuffing.
2. In a separate bowl, combine wheat flour, salt, and water enough to knead into a soft dough.
3. With a rolling pin, roll the dough balls to a circle of about 4 to 5 inches in diameter.
4. Place the paneer stuffing on one of the rolled rounds keeping one-inch space around the circumference.
5. Cover with the other rolled dough. Press and seal the edges to close the layers.
6. Sprinkle some flour and roll the stuffed paratha to a circle of about 6 to 7 inches in diameter.
7. Heat a tawa ,then place the rolled paratha on it. The tawa should be hot.
8. Apply ghee with a spoon.
9. Flip once or twice till the paratha has golden spots and is evenly cooked.
