Garlic Broccoli

Quick and easy to make stir fried garlic broccoli. Broccoli is a nutrient-dense vegetable, rich in vitamins, fiber, and various antioxidants. Garlic, known for allicin, contributes additional health benefits.

Ingredients:

1 head of broccoli, cut into florets( blanched)

5-6 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil or any cooking oil of your choice

1 tablespoon Corn Flour/ Oats flour

Salt and pepper to taste

Chilli flakes – optional

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
  3. Add the blanched broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the broccoli becomes tender-crisp.
  4. While stir-frying, add the corn flour / oats flour slurry and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
  5. You can season the broccoli with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce and sesame oil. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce according to your preference.
  7. Remove the pan from heat and transfer the stir-fried broccoli to a serving dish.
  8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired, for a nice finishing touch.
  9. Serve the stir-fried garlic broccoli as a side dish or as a part of your main meal with some steamed rice.
