Quick and easy to make stir fried garlic broccoli. Broccoli is a nutrient-dense vegetable, rich in vitamins, fiber, and various antioxidants. Garlic, known for allicin, contributes additional health benefits.
Ingredients:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets( blanched)
5-6 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil or any cooking oil of your choice
1 tablespoon Corn Flour/ Oats flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Chilli flakes – optional
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
- Add the blanched broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the broccoli becomes tender-crisp.
- While stir-frying, add the corn flour / oats flour slurry and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
- You can season the broccoli with salt and pepper according to your taste.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce and sesame oil. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce according to your preference.
- Remove the pan from heat and transfer the stir-fried broccoli to a serving dish.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired, for a nice finishing touch.
- Serve the stir-fried garlic broccoli as a side dish or as a part of your main meal with some steamed rice.
